Brian Meredith Net Zero Scholars Graduate: Global Climate Leaders Emerging

Green Future Investments Ltd (GFIL) is proud to celebrate the graduation of the second cohort of the Brian Meredith Net Zero scholars. A milestone that marks not just the academic success of this outstanding group of students, but also the continued fulfilment of a bold vision to invest in the climate leaders of tomorrow.

Launched in partnership with Cranfield University, the Brian Meredith Net Zero Scholarship offers £20,000 in funding per student to support individuals who demonstrate both academic excellence and a strong commitment to making a tangible impact in the global race to net zero. This fund serves as a launchpad for high-potential talent to advance climate innovation, influence policy, and drive systemic environmental change.

“GFIL’s funding of my tuition fees enabled me to focus fully on my studies. This support enabled me to participate in extracurricular courses, enhancing both my technical and soft skills. As a result, I was able to focus on my career development and seek job opportunities. This ultimately led to my successful performance during the course and securing a position as a research assistant at Cranfield University after graduation. Since graduation, I have been working as an Agricultural Systems Hydrological Modelling Research Assistant. My role involves enhancing the efficiency of agricultural water management by utilising wireless hydrological monitoring data. This approach helps maintain optimal water levels to sustain crop yields while mitigating the impact of extreme hydrological events, such as flooding and drought, on farming business and the environment”

Azizullah Janish, Research Assistant, Cranfield University

“Receiving the Brian Meredith Scholarship was an amazing achievement and has helped towards aligning my professional brand with sustainability, the very ethos the scholarship represents. Now, as I step into my new role as a Decarbonisation Application Engineer at Siemens Energy, I look to carry forward this mission and contribute meaningfully to the global energy transition”

Morgan Havard, Decarbonisation Application Engineer, Siemens Energy

“This scholarship gave me more than just funding; it gave me a global purpose. It equipped me with the confidence, skills, and network to turn climate ambition into action. As a Digital Marketing Executive at Green Future Investments, I have the privilege of amplifying the voices of sustainability innovators and showcasing the solutions that are shaping our future. Through my work with GFIL, I’m turning my ambition as a climate communicator into practical action by telling the stories that drive systemic change. This opportunity wouldn’t have been possible without GFIL’s support, and I’m proud to help now advance its mission by sharing the powerful impact of climate innovation.”

Chidera Agbim, Digital Marketing Executive, Green Future Investments

“The support of Green Future Investments Limited provided me with the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy at Cranfield University. It allowed me to focus on my studies without the burden of financial stress, enabling me to gain the skills and experience essential for my future career path. Since graduating, I have begun a PhD in marine renewable energy, building on the foundational knowledge gained during my Master’s. I remain incredibly grateful to GFIL for their generous support and the pivotal role they played in my academic and professional journey.”
